Student Who Set India Book of Records Found Dead in Kasaragod

Kasaragod: A college student who achieved a spot in the India Book of Records for his unique ability to spin a book on his finger was tragically found dead by suicide in his bedroom at home. The deceased has been identified as Sreehari (20), son of Pavithran Achamthuruthy and Shantha, residing at Sreenilayam on Padannakkad Karuvalam Karakund Road.

Family members discovered Sreehari and immediately rushed him to Kanhangad District Hospital, but he had unfortunately passed away before reaching the medical facility.

Sreehari was a final-year degree student at Padannakkad Nehru College and also served as the Vice President of the SFI unit at the college. He had gained recognition for his remarkable feat of continuously spinning a book on one finger for an hour, which earned him a place in the India Book of Records. Hosdurg police have registered a case regarding Sreehari’s death and have commenced an investigation. He is survived by his sister, Sreekutty, who is a teacher at Kanhangad Christ.
