M.V. Govindan Declares Ayyappa Sangamam a ‘Global Success,’ Alleges AI-Generated ‘Empty Chair’ Visuals

Pathanamthitta: CPI(M) state secretary M.V. Govindan has asserted that the Global Ayyappa Sangamam was a resounding success. He vehemently denied circulating visuals showing empty chairs at the event, alleging that they were fake and fabricated using artificial intelligence (AI). Contrary to initial expectations of 3000 attendees, a total of 4600 people participated in the Sangamam, Govindan stated. He further criticized the Congress, accusing them of shamelessly spreading false propaganda regarding the event.

Despite the inability to reach definitive conclusions on certain Sabarimala development projects, the government views the successful convergence of the SNDP Yogam and NSS on a single platform as a significant political triumph. Notably, SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan arrived alongside Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the state’s premier car. The presence of NSS Vice President M. Sangeeth Kumar on the stage served to reinforce the significance of this achievement. While further amendments concerning the demolition of some unnecessary structures within the Sabarimala Master Plan could not be implemented, a key decision from the Sangamam was the proposal to utilize artificial intelligence for crowd control. The Global Ayyappa Sangamam concluded with the formation of an 18-member committee tasked with overseeing the implementation of all proposals and follow-up actions.
