MLA IC Balakrishnan Arrested in Connection with NM Vijayan’s Suicide Case

Wayanad DCC Treasurer NM Vijayan’s suicide case has led to the arrest of MLA IC Balakrishnan. Following an extensive interrogation process, the MLA was charged with abetment to suicide. However, he was released due to prior anticipatory bail.

As part of the investigation, police conducted a search at the MLA’s residence in Kenichira yesterday. Sources report that no incriminating documents were found during the search, which was carried out in the MLA’s presence.

Earlier, arrests were also made in connection with the case, including DCC President ND Appachan and former Congress leader KK Gopinathan.
