Akhil Marar Responds to Controversy Over Childbirth Remarks, Blames Drug Mafia for Targeting Him

Bigg Boss winner and NDA candidate from Thrikkakara, Akhil Marar, has responded to the controversy surrounding his recent remarks regarding childbirth. Addressing the public through a Facebook post, Marar asserted that he is “not a fool who does not understand the pain of childbirth” and clarified that his previous comments were not intended to undermine the process itself.

Marar’s clarification comes amidst intense public scrutiny. In his statement, he shifted the focus toward the growing influence of the “drug mafia” in Kerala, claiming that recent controversies involving himself and others are orchestrated attempts by these syndicates to derail investigations and divert public attention.

“I am not a fool who lacks awareness about the pain of childbirth. I was not speaking about the process of childbirth itself,” Marar clarified. He argued that his comments have been deliberately misinterpreted by malicious groups and those he labeled as “pseudo-progressives” who aim to break down family structures.

He alleged that the drug mafia thrives by breaking up families and targeting children who lack support. “The drug mafia focuses on children who do not find happiness at home,” he claimed, suggesting that there is a coordinated effort to disparage his character because he has consistently opposed these criminal networks.

Reflecting on his political platform in Thrikkakara, Marar reiterated his commitment to combating the drug menace in Kochi. “My primary goal is to eliminate the drug mafias growing in Kochi,” he stated. He also expressed concerns about the healthcare industry, suggesting that the goal should be a society that prioritizes health to reduce the reliance on hospitals, which he believes the “medical mafia” opposes.

Regarding the specific controversy, Marar maintained that his words were taken out of context from an interview recorded over a month ago. He insisted that he was advocating for a balanced approach to the pregnancy period, encouraging mothers to be physically and mentally prepared, and warned against falling into the “traps” of commercial interests.

Concluding his statement, Marar emphasized that his concerns extend to the larger issue of national security and the future of the younger generation, urging the public to look beyond political rhetoric and recognize the serious threat posed by drug networks operating within the state.
