P V Anvar, C K Janu, and Vishnupuram Chandrasekharan Join UDF

Kochi: P V Anvar, C K Janu, and Vishnupuram Chandrasekharan are set to join the United Democratic Front (UDF). Opposition Leader V D Satheesan made the announcement at a press conference, stating that P V Anvar’s Trinamool Congress, C K Janu’s Janadhipathya Rashtreeya Sabha (JRS), and Vishnupuram Chandrasekharan’s Indian National Kamaraj Congress Party will be inducted as associate members of the UDF. The decision was reached during a UDF meeting held in Kochi.
Satheesan emphasized that the UDF approaching the upcoming assembly elections will not be the same as the current front, but rather an expanded and strengthened coalition. This marks the first UDF meeting since the victory in the recent local body elections, which is currently underway in Kochi.
The meeting is scheduled to discuss preparations for the forthcoming assembly elections and the allocation of positions within various local bodies. Additionally, the UDF will review the results of the local body elections. While there were indications that the potential entry of Jose K Mani, P V Anvar, and C K Janu into the front would be a key discussion point, no final decision has been made regarding Jose K Mani’s inclusion at this time.
