Actor Unni Mukundan Denies Assault Allegations by Manager, Files for Anticipatory Bail

Kochi: Actor Unni Mukundan has vehemently denied the assault allegations made by his manager, Vipin Kumar. The actor stated that the complaint stems from personal animosity towards him and that Vipin Kumar’s claims are entirely false. Unni Mukundan asserted that he did not assault Vipin and accused him of attempting to destroy his career. In a Facebook post, the actor alleged that the complainant’s objective was to threaten and mentally harass him, adding that Vipin Kumar had previously engaged in false propaganda against him. Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan has filed an anticipatory bail application with the Ernakulam District Court in connection with the case.

The Kochi Infopark Police had registered a case against Unni Mukundan this morning based on Vipin Kumar’s complaint. Vipin Kumar, a native of Changanassery, claims that the actor was provoked when he posted a social media update praising another film, following the poor performance of Unni Mukundan’s latest movie. According to Vipin Kumar’s complaint to the police, Unni Mukundan then brutally assaulted him. The complaint alleges that Unni Mukundan called him to a deserted parking space on the first floor of the DLF flat in Kakkanad, verbally abused him without any provocation, and assaulted him. Furthermore, Vipin Kumar claimed that Unni Mukundan snatched his expensive sunglasses from his face and smashed them. In addition to the police, the manager has also filed a complaint with FEFKA, the film organization. The complainant has been working as Unni Mukundan’s manager for the past six years.
