Kerala Rain Alert: Low Pressure Again in Bay of Bengal; Rain Likely in State in Coming Days

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that rain will continue in the state for the coming days. A new low-pressure area has formed over the central-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, near the North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coast. The IMD has stated that Kerala is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall for the next 5 days.
**Fishermen Warning:**
On September 13, 2025, strong winds with speeds ranging from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, and gusting up to 60 kilometers per hour on some occasions, along with rough weather, are expected off the Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, adjoining Kanyakumari region, Andhra Pradesh coast, central-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, and southwest Bay of Bengal. Fishermen are advised to exercise caution.
