Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Condemns Israel as ‘Global Rogue Nation’ After Iran Attack

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has strongly condemned Israel, stating it has long been a “global rogue nation” that disregards international norms. His remarks come amidst reports of an Israeli attack on Iran.
“It is a nation that believes it does not need to adhere to any ordinary civility in the world. Israel has always adopted an arrogant approach, confident of US support, believing anything is permissible,” the Chief Minister asserted.
“Extremely explosive information has emerged today. That is the attack carried out against Iran. Such an attack cannot be justified. It will create an atmosphere that threatens world peace. Those who desire peace should be ready to oppose and condemn this,” Chief Minister Vijayan added.
Details of the Alleged Israeli Attack
Israel reportedly launched an attack on Iran’s capital, Tehran, early Friday morning. Israel had stated that the attack targeted Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. The assault allegedly involved missiles and drones. A video released by the Israeli military reportedly indicated the use of fighter jets in the attack.
According to Iran’s state media, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, and the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, were killed in the Israeli attack in Tehran on Friday night.
Reports also suggest that other high-ranking Iranian military officials and two senior nuclear scientists were killed in the Israeli attack. The deceased nuclear scientists have been identified as Fereydoon Abbasi, former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, President of Islamic Azad University in Tehran. Israel is also reported to have conducted airstrikes against Iran’s primary nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz and its ballistic missile project.
Minister Riyas Echoes Condemnation
Public Works and Tourism Minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas also expressed his strong disapproval, calling Israel a “global rogue nation” that poses a threat to peace. The minister shared his condemnation of the Israeli attack via social media. “Israel is a global rogue that threatens peace. The aggression against Iran is deplorable,” Minister Riyas wrote on Facebook.
