NSS Will Maintain “Equal Distance” Policy, Says G Sukumaran Nair; “Right Distance” Only for Sabarimala

Kottayam: G. Sukumaran Nair, General Secretary of the Nair Service Society (NSS), has stated that the organization holds no animosity towards any political party. Speaking to the media amidst the ongoing Mannam Jayanthi celebrations at the NSS headquarters, Sukumaran Nair clarified that the NSS will continue its “equal distance” policy in the upcoming assembly elections, as it is an apolitical organization.

Nair emphasized that the “right distance” policy was adopted solely concerning the Sabarimala issue. For all other matters, the NSS will adhere to its “equal distance” stance. Responding to queries from journalists, he added that everything that needed to be said about the Sabarimala gold smuggling case has already been stated, and there is nothing further to discuss on that matter.

The 149th Mannam Jayanthi celebrations commenced with the Akhila Kerala Nair Representative Conference held on New Year’s Day. On Mannam Jayanthi day, political, social, and cultural dignitaries, along with community members from various Karayogams across the state, gathered to participate in the conference and offer floral tributes at the Samadhi Mandapam (memorial).
