President to Attend Navy Day Celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram; Traffic Restrictions Announced
Thiruvananthapuram City Police have implemented stringent traffic regulations in connection with the Indian Navy Day celebrations scheduled for December 3 at Shankhumugham, Thiruvananthapuram. President Droupadi Murmu is set to grace the event as the chief guest, and traffic restrictions related to the ceremony will commence from 12 noon on Wednesday.
Entry to the Shankhumugham and Vettukad areas will be strictly limited to pass holders. Commuters planning to travel to the airport and railway stations are advised to arrange their journeys in advance, as flight tickets or other travel documents must be presented at designated checking points.
For those heading to the Domestic Airport, the recommended route is via Venpalavattom, Chacka Flyover, Eenchakkal, Kallumoodu, Ponnara Bridge, and Valiyathura. This route should also be utilized for return journeys.
Special parking arrangements have been made for visitors attending the operation demonstration without passes. Parking facilities are available in various parts of the city. After parking their vehicles, attendees can utilize KSRTC bus services to reach Shankhumugham. Dedicated parking zones include:

* For those from Kollam, Attingal, Pothencode, and Sreekariyam areas: Karyavattom Greenfield Stadium, Karyavattom Campus.

* For those from Parassala, Neyyattinkara, Pappanamcode, and Karamana areas: Killipalam Boys High School, Attukal Parking Ground, Homeo College Ground, Putharikandam Maidanam.
* For those from Nedumangad, Peroorkada, and Sasthamangalam areas: Kowdiar Salvation Army Ground, LMS Compound, University Office Campus, University College Ground, Sanskrit College Ground.
* For those from Varkala, Kadinamkulam, and Perumathura areas: Puthenthope Church, St. Xavier’s College.
* For those from Kovalam, Poonthura, Eeppood, and Chacka areas: Lulu Mall Parking, Anayara World Market, Karikkakom Temple Ground.
After parking at these specified locations, visitors can avail KSRTC bus services to travel to and from Shankhumugham. Authorities urge the public to cooperate with the traffic regulations to ensure the smooth conduct of the Navy Day celebrations and minimize inconvenience.
