BJP Not Responsible for Actions of Individuals Amidst Christmas Violence, Says Rajeev Chandrasekhar

BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar has addressed recent incidents of violence during Christmas celebrations, asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cannot be held accountable for the actions of isolated individuals within a nation of 1.4 billion people. Speaking to media in Delhi, Chandrasekhar stated that while some “mad people” might commit wrongs in a country with such a vast population, it is unjust to place the blame squarely on the BJP.

Chandrasekhar further alleged that attempts to attribute responsibility for these atrocities to the BJP are politically motivated. He pointed fingers at opposition parties, specifically naming the Congress and CPM, for engaging in such politically charged rhetoric.

The BJP leader also criticized the Chief Minister for raising these allegations during the Christmas season. He suggested that such actions, rather than highlighting the ten years of governance achievements, are a deliberate attempt to divert public attention and mislead the populace. Regarding the reported protests by believers during the Prime Minister’s visit to the CNI Cathedral in Delhi, Chandrasekhar offered an apology if any inconvenience was caused to the worshippers.
