‘No one tasked Vellappally to judge LDF or any party’: Binoy Viswam

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam stated that no one has tasked Vellappally Natesan with grading the LDF or any political party, nor with determining what is right or wrong. Viswam emphasized that Vellappally is not the LDF, and therefore, they are not awaiting any advice from him on such matters. He also added that he has no intention of engaging in a dispute with Vellappally Natesan.

Responding to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement in a press conference that Binoy Viswam is not Pinarayi Vijayan, that he has his own stance, and that he still doesn’t believe it was wrong to allow Vellappally into his car, Binoy Viswam remarked, “Isn’t what the Chief Minister said correct? Binoy Viswam is not Pinarayi Vijayan.” He further stated, “I will articulate my position. He will express his views and stance. The public knows everyone. They know the Communist Party, and they know Vellappally. Let them decide.”

Viswam also commented on Vellappally’s remarks against a journalist. He stated, “Everyone can infer whether such comments elevate or diminish a person. May he and those concerned gain the understanding to realize this.” He continued, “The Sree Narayana movement is a great organization. Sree Narayana Guru is a luminous name in Kerala’s renaissance journey. The Communist Party respects his great legacy. However, that position has been held by many great individuals, from Kumaranasan onwards. Everyone holding that office should always remember this,” Binoy Viswam asserted. He also clarified that CPI members have not taken even a single penny through illicit means. “Funds might have been collected. If Vellappally claims that money was collected through illicit means, that money will be returned. The CPI has not taken even a single penny through illicit means,” Viswam concluded.
