CM Face Debate: KPCC President Issues Stern Warning to Congress Leaders

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Expressing strong displeasure over the escalating debates regarding the Chief Ministerial candidate within the Congress party, KPCC President Sunny Joseph has issued a stern warning to party leaders. He stated that public statements causing embarrassment to the organization would not be tolerated and any violation would be treated as a serious breach of discipline.

He demanded that leaders immediately withdraw from such discussions and refrain from making further public comments. According to Joseph, these unnecessary controversies have caused significant dissatisfaction among Congress cadres and the general public that supports the UDF. He further clarified that the AICC (All India Congress Committee) has issued strict directives to put an end to the “CM candidate” discourse.

The KPCC President’s firm intervention comes in the wake of the Muslim League, a key ally, openly criticizing the Congress for its internal disputes over the top post. The leadership’s message is clear: maintaining discipline is paramount, as such public spats could adversely affect the party’s future prospects.
