The Additional Secretary of Home Affairs has issued an order for a vigilance investigation against MLA P.V. Anwar over allegations of unauthorized land acquisition. The investigation pertains to an 11-acre plot of land in Aluva, reportedly converted and claimed illegally.

According to the complaint, the land, which was meant only for leasehold purposes, was illegally acquired. The vigilance department received the complaint and, after a preliminary inquiry, recommended a detailed investigation into the matter.

The directive was passed to the Vigilance Director, who subsequently assigned the case to the Special Investigation Unit-II of the Vigilance Unit in Thiruvananthapuram. The investigators have been instructed to conduct a thorough probe and submit a report within the stipulated timeframe.

The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Kollam native and businessman Murukesh Narendran.
