Two-Year-Old Drowns in Bathroom Bucket, Tragic End in Alappuzha

A two-year-old boy tragically drowned after falling into a bucket of water in the bathroom in Chengannur, Alappuzha. The deceased has been identified as Axton P. Thomas, son of Tom Thomas and Jincy Thomas, residents of Thottiyattu Pallithazhayil in Puliyur. The heartbreaking incident occurred around 1 PM today.

The accident unfolded when the child’s mother had left him in the bedroom for a moment to go to the kitchen. Upon her return, she could not locate her son. A frantic search led her to the bathroom, where she discovered Axton submerged in a bucket of water.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts, medical professionals were unable to save his life. The Chengannur police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
