
Kochi: The corporate office of Air Kerala, which is preparing to launch its first flight service from Kerala, will be inaugurated on April 15th. The inauguration of the state-of-the-art corporate office, completed in Aluva, will be held at 5:30 PM on the 15th by Kerala Industries Minister P. Rajeev.
MPs Hibi Eden, Benny Behanan, Harris Beeran, MLAs Anwar Sadath, Roji M. John, Aluva Municipal Chairman M.O. John, Vice Chairperson Saiji Jolly, BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar, former Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan, and others will participate in the event.
The spacious three-story office complex is located near the Aluva Metro Station. The office is arranged to accommodate over 200 aviation experts simultaneously. Air Kerala management announced that the company will create more than 750 job opportunities by the end of this year. Air Kerala, which is starting with domestic services in the first phase, will soon launch international services as well.
Air Kerala’s first flight will take off from Kochi in June. Chairman Afi Ahmed said that the company will operate ultra-low-cost flight services. Agreements have been reached with Irish companies regarding the lease of five aircraft.
Vice Chairman Ayoob Kallada informed that there are also plans to purchase aircraft of their own. CEO Hareesh Kutty announced that Air Kerala services will connect small and medium-sized cities in South and Central India with metro cities. ATR aircraft with 76 seats will be used for the service. All seats will be economy class.”
