Bodies of Five Malayalis Killed in Kenya Bus Accident to Arrive in Kochi Tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram: The bodies of five Malayalis who tragically died in a bus accident in Nyahururu, Kenya, will arrive at Nedumbassery (Cochin International) Airport tomorrow (Sunday) morning at 8:45 AM, aboard a Qatar Airways flight.
The bodies being repatriated are Jasna (29), from Muvattupuzha, Her daughter, Roohi Mehrin (one and a half years old), Geetha Shoji Isaac (58), from Cherukol, Mavelikkara, Riya Ann (41), from Mannoor, Palakkad, Her daughter, Tyra Rodrigues (7)
The Central Government had granted a special exemption from the Yellow Fever vaccine certificate requirement, a health precautionary measure for bringing bodies from Kenya to India. This fast-tracked approval followed the swift intervention of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
NORKA Roots will receive the bodies at the airport, and from there, they will be transported to their respective homes. Relatives of the deceased will also be accompanying the bodies on the flight.
