G Sudhakaran is a Staunch Communist, V D Satheesan an Eminent Opposition Leader: Leaders Exchange Praise

Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan lauded G. Sudhakaran, a prominent CPM leader and former minister, during an award ceremony held in honor of RSP leader T. J. Chandrachoodan. Satheesan described Sudhakaran as a staunch Communist and a righteous administrator, highlighting his exceptional qualities as a public servant.
Satheesan further elaborated on his admiration for Sudhakaran, stating, “He is the best Public Works Minister I have ever seen. I have not encountered anyone quite like him, neither within our ranks nor among their group.” He added that receiving an award alongside G. Sudhakaran was an honor he deeply valued.
In response, G. Sudhakaran reciprocated the praise, characterizing V.D. Satheesan as an eminent leader of the opposition. Sudhakaran also addressed the controversy surrounding his previous participation in a Congress seminar, questioning the objections raised against his involvement.
During the event, Sudhakaran emphasized that the strength of the CPM lies with its party members, not with “cyber armies.” He suggested that many issues could be resolved by simply managing online comment sections. He also noted that any potential alliance between the CPM and Congress in Kerala would largely depend on the future growth and influence of the BJP. Earlier, Sudhakaran had faced considerable backlash from within the CPM for his previous commendations of V.D. Satheesan.
