Travancore Devaswom Board Launches Online Temple Offering System

Kottarakkara: Devotees can now conveniently book all offerings at temples under the Travancore Devaswom Board from their homes through a newly introduced online system. Finance Minister K. N. Balagopal officially inaugurated the counter billing module, a key component of this initiative, today at 5 PM at the Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple.

With the successful implementation of the counter billing module, all temple offerings will be available for online booking within one month. This facility will initially be rolled out in major temples, with plans to expand the system to all temples under the Devaswom Board within six months. The National Informatics Center (NIC), a government institution, is responsible for developing this comprehensive software solution for the Travancore Devaswom Board.

Beyond just offering billing, this fully cloud-based software will also provide access to crucial information, including details of valuable assets like temple ornaments and data pertaining to temple land. Each temple will be equipped with its own dedicated website, designed to ensure that all relevant information is easily accessible to devotees. The complete rollout of this software will enable the Devaswom Board to monitor all information and daily operations across all its temples through a single, unified system. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the transparency and efficiency of temple operations and devotee services.
