Influencer Gigi Mario Reveals Professional Dispute, Not Family Issues, with Husband Mario Joseph; Alleges Assault

Influencer Gigi Mario has clarified that the ongoing dispute with her husband, Mario Joseph, is not a family problem but rather stems entirely from professional matters. Speaking to the media, she detailed that certain decisions made by her husband regarding the Philokalia Trust, where they are both involved, are the primary cause of their disagreements.

According to Gigi Mario’s revelations, the conflict began when Mario Joseph established a new entity under the Company Act, also named Philokalia, despite the existing Philokalia Trust. She stated that issues escalated when she questioned alleged irregularities in the operations of this newly formed company.

Furthermore, Gigi Mario has accused certain individuals associated with her husband of misleading him. She highlighted that board members of the Philokalia Trust do not receive salaries, whereas the new organization registered under the Company Act allows for salaries amounting to lakhs of rupees. Gigi suggested that these financial incentives are driving the new company’s board members to undermine the original trust.

The couple has reportedly been living separately for nine months following the deepening of their dispute. Gigi stated that she visited Mario Joseph’s home on the 25th to attempt a reconciliation, which allegedly resulted in an assault. Her complaint to the Chalakudy police states that during an argument, Mario Joseph hit her on the head with a TV set-top box and bit her hand. She also alleged that her mobile phone, valued at Rs 70,000, was destroyed during the altercation. The Chalakudy police have registered a case under BNS 126 (2), an offense punishable by one month’s imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000.
