Kerala Weather Update: Rain Subsides; No Special Alert in Any District Today

Thiruvananthapuram: The heavy rainfall in the state has subsided. Today, there are no special warnings for any districts. According to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) rainfall prediction for the next 5 days, only light rain is expected in all districts.
Meanwhile, the IMD has announced that there is a possibility of light rain in isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod districts of Kerala during the next 3 hours.
**Fishermen’s Alert**
The India Meteorological Department has informed that there is no obstruction to fishing along the Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep coasts today (September 14, 2025).
**Special Cautionary Advice**
**From September 14, 2025 to September 18, 2025:** Strong winds with speeds of 45 to 55 kmph, and occasionally up to 65 kmph, are likely over the Southwest Arabian Sea and West Central Arabian Sea.
**On September 14, 2025, and from September 16, 2025 to September 17, 2025:** Strong winds and adverse weather conditions with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph, and occasionally up to 60 kmph, are likely over the Southwest Bay of Bengal, South Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, and adjoining Kanyakumari area.
**On September 15, 2025:** Strong winds and adverse weather conditions with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph, and occasionally up to 60 kmph, are likely over the Southwest Bay of Bengal, Konkan – Goa coasts, adjoining sea areas, South Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, and adjoining Kanyakumari area.
**On September 16, 2025:** Strong winds and adverse weather conditions with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph, and occasionally up to 60 kmph, are likely over the Northwest Arabian Sea and adjoining West Central Arabian Sea.
**On September 18, 2025:** Strong winds and adverse weather conditions with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph, and occasionally up to 60 kmph, are likely over the Southwest Bay of Bengal, adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, South Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, and adjoining Kanyakumari area.
