Pre-Arrest Bail Denied for Employees in Actor Krishnakumar’s Daughter’s Firm’s Financial Fraud Case

A Thiruvananthapuram Principal Sessions Court has rejected the anticipatory bail applications of employees accused in a financial fraud case at the firm owned by actor Krishnakumar’s daughter, Diya Krishnakumar. The bail pleas of former employees Vineetha, Divya, and Radhakumari were dismissed. Krishnakumar had filed a complaint alleging a fraud amounting to ₹69 lakh.

The Crime Branch had submitted a report to the court stating that there was evidence of financial irregularities. The court upheld this report in denying anticipatory bail. The Crime Branch also informed the court that the three employees were not cooperating with the investigation. The investigating team is expected to proceed with arresting the accused soon. Meanwhile, the prosecution had informed the court that the case alleging attempted kidnapping of the employees was not sustainable.

Even in the initial stage of the investigation, the police had obtained evidence suggesting that the employees had committed financial fraud. The bank account details of the three employees were a key piece of evidence. However, the employees argued that Diya had transferred money to their accounts to evade taxes. The female employees claimed that Diya Krishna’s firm had not conducted an audit for about a year and that the complaint of ₹69 lakh misappropriation was false. Meanwhile, the police stated that they would submit a report to the court with evidence of the employees’ alleged misappropriation of ₹64 lakh from the firm.
