How to Use the Same WhatsApp Number on Two Phones: Here’s How
WhatsApp is the most widely used messaging app globally. For many, it has become an indispensable communication tool. While everyone knows that WhatsApp can be linked to devices other than the primary mobile using the Linked Devices feature, how many people are aware that it’s also possible to use the same WhatsApp number on another smartphone simultaneously?
Using the Linked Devices feature, you can connect WhatsApp on up to four devices at the same time, including another smartphone. This feature works even if the internet is turned off on the primary phone. But how exactly can you use WhatsApp on another smartphone at the same time? Here’s how:
- Open WhatsApp on the primary device and click on the three-dot menu icon.
- From the settings, select the “Linked Devices” option.
- Then, click on “Link a Device.” This will open a QR code scanner.
Next, you’ll need to install WhatsApp on the secondary phone. Once installed, open WhatsApp on the secondary device. If the secondary phone is already logged in with other numbers, you will see an option to log in with the other number. To avoid this, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the secondary phone and select the option “Link as a Companion Device.”
This will generate a QR code on the secondary phone. Scan this QR code using the scanner on the primary phone, and WhatsApp will be activated on the secondary phone.
