Thiruvananthapuram’s Air Quality Healthier Than Delhi, Says Minister V. Sivankutty

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – Minister V. Sivankutty has stated that the air quality in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, is significantly better and healthier compared to that of Delhi. He attributed this positive status to the collective efforts being made to protect the capital city from pollution.

The Minister conveyed his observations after participating in a national labor conference in Delhi and returning to Thiruvananthapuram. He noted that while he was able to highlight Kerala’s achievements and needs at the conference, the air pollution levels in Delhi were deeply concerning. The atmosphere in the national capital was filled with dust and particulate matter, making breathing difficult. Sivankutty emphasized the urgent need for a permanent solution to this serious challenge faced by the country’s capital.

“When compared to Delhi, the air pollution level in Thiruvananthapuram, our state capital, is much better and healthier,” Sivankutty wrote on Facebook. He further added that this achievement is a result of the combined efforts of citizens and the government to keep the capital city free from pollution.

Ensuring a healthy environment for its citizens is one of the primary priorities of the government, according to the minister. He lauded the Thiruvananthapuram City Corporation for its significant accomplishments in this regard. The government remains committed to reducing pollution by ensuring the cleanliness of the city. Sivankutty stressed the importance of every citizen’s health and expressed pride in the clean air of their state.
