Missing Child Found After Mother’s Murder in Mananthavady, Wayanad

Thirunelli: The missing child of Praveena, a resident of Idayoorkunnu who was found murdered in Mananthavady, Wayanad, has been located. The girl, Praveena’s daughter, was found after an overnight search. She was with Dileesh, the accused in the murder case. Both were discovered in a plantation near the forest area adjacent to the house. The child has been taken to the hospital.

Praveena, who had been living on rent in Vakeri Appappara, was allegedly stabbed to death by her partner, Dileesh. During the attack, Praveena’s fourteen-year-old daughter sustained stab wounds to her ear and neck. Her nine-year-old daughter had been reported missing. A search for the younger child was conducted in the area last night. It was unclear whether the child had run away during the attack or if Dileesh had absconded with her. Heavy rain had made the search for the accused and the missing child difficult.

Praveena, who had divorced her first husband, had been living with Dileesh since. The motive for the murder is not yet clear. It is reported that the couple had been experiencing problems recently, and Praveena’s desire to end the relationship may have led to the murder. The injured 14-year-old girl is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital in Mananthavady.
