Three-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling into Waste Pit Near Nedumbassery Airport

NEDUMBASSERY: A three-year-old boy died after falling into a waste pit near the Nedumbassery Airport. The deceased has been identified as Ridhaan, son of Rajasthan natives. The accident occurred behind a cafe outside the domestic terminal.

Ridhaan had arrived at Nedumbassery with his parents. While the parents were inside the cafe, the child was playing outside with his elder sibling and fell into the waste-filled pit.

The child was discovered in the pit after reviewing CCTV footage. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. CIAL (Cochin International Airport Limited) has stated that the accident occurred in an area not accessible to the public. The authorities have also clarified that all possible assistance will be provided to the child’s family.
