Shine Tom Chacko Drug Case: Police Face Setback as Forensic Tests Come Back Negative

Kochi: The forensic report in the drug case involving actor Shine Tom Chacko has emerged, delivering a significant setback to the police investigation. Reports indicate that the investigating team was unable to scientifically prove the actor’s alleged drug use.

Detailed examinations were conducted on Shine Tom Chacko’s nail and hair samples to detect the presence of illicit substances. However, the forensic lab report conclusively confirmed that no traces of drug use were found in any of the collected samples.

This development comes after a major controversy last April, when CCTV footage captured the actor allegedly attempting to flee upon seeing the DANSAF team during an inspection at a luxury hotel in Kochi. Following this incident, a case was registered against Shine under sections pertaining to drug use and conspiracy. He was subsequently served a notice, summoned, arrested, and later released on bail.

The latest forensic findings suggest that the charge of drug use, which was a key aspect of the case against Shine Tom Chacko, may not be sustainable due to the absence of scientific evidence.
