KNM Expresses Hope in Supreme Court’s Interim Verdict on Waqf Amendment Bill

**Kozhikode:** T. P. Abdullakoya Madani, President of the Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) state committee, has expressed significant hope following the interim Supreme Court verdict on the Waqf Amendment Bill. While generally welcoming the judgment, Madani urged legal experts to meticulously scrutinize the details, cautioning against any potential hidden dangers within the ruling.
Abdullakoya Madani emphasized that the Supreme Court’s interim decision represents a substantial setback to what he described as organized attempts to seize control of Waqf properties belonging to the Muslim community across the nation. He further advised against excessive celebration of the interim verdict, stressing the importance of not underestimating the gravity of the case.
Madani called upon all concerned parties to actively work and pray for a final verdict that ensures the complete protection of the Waqf system, which is crucial for the Muslim community. He highlighted that the country’s largest minority group anticipates justice from the highest judicial authority. He reiterated the importance of closely monitoring the Waqf Amendment Bill case, given its profound implications for the educational, social, and political capital of the Muslim community in India.
