Plus One Student Suspended for Death Threats to Teachers Over Confiscated Mobile Phone

A Plus One student was suspended from Anakkara Government Higher Secondary School in Palakkad after issuing death threats to teachers over the confiscation of a mobile phone. The incident occurred last Friday.
The school has a strict policy prohibiting students from bringing mobile phones to campus, which the student violated by bringing a phone to school. The confiscated phone was handed over to the principal teacher. The student, demanding the phone back, issued threats in front of the principal.
Initially, the student threatened to accuse the teachers of mental harassment in front of the local community. He also claimed that he would circulate visuals related to the incident. When the teacher refused to comply, the student escalated his threats, stating, “I’ll deal with you once I step outside.”
When the teacher asked what he intended to do, the student reportedly replied, “I’ll kill you.”
Following the incident, school authorities filed a complaint with the Thrithala police.
