KIIFB CEO K.M. Abraham Resigns Following Change of Government

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K.M. Abraham has resigned as the CEO of KIIFB (Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board) following the LDF’s defeat in the Assembly elections. He submitted his resignation letter to the caretaker Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. Mini Antony, the Additional CEO of KIIFB, has been given the current charge.
UDF leaders had previously raised serious allegations regarding the utilization and diversion of funds through KIIFB. There was also criticism that K.M. Abraham was acting as a “Super Chief Secretary.” Currently, projects worth over ₹1 lakh crore are underway under KIIFB. However, this resignation has sparked intense debate over potential shifts in KIIFB’s operations and policies once the new government takes office. The incoming UDF government is expected to take a policy decision on whether to continue with the KIIFB framework.
