Numerous papers were presented across ten academic sessions during the conference. These studies focused on shedding light on the religion, faith, culture, and socio-political interventions pertinent to the younger generation. The ISM National Delegate Meet was formally inaugurated by the state president, T.P. Abdullakoya Madani.
During his inaugural address, T.P. Abdullakoya Madani urged that the immense energy and intellectual prowess of the youth should be channelled towards the welfare of the nation and fostering social progress. He emphasized that Muslim youth possess the inherent strength and capability to define their own agenda and should not passively follow those dictated by others. Madani called upon the youth to remain vigilant of their surroundings and steadfastly uphold the well-being of the community, especially amidst systematic attempts to weaken Muslim youth. He stressed the importance of young people working sincerely for the community’s advancement and growth, urging them to resist all efforts aimed at disrupting the social fabric.
Madani further advised those aspiring for societal change to respond and act with prudence, warning that emotional approaches could lead to deviations from objectives and create further problems. He also highlighted the critical need to safeguard the positive achievements brought about by the strenuous efforts of social reformers. Madani implored the youth to be acutely aware of superstitions and outdated customs that are subtly re-emerging in society in new forms and guises.
He concluded by reminding the delegates to be cautious of deliberate attempts to distort the rich history of the Muslim renaissance and to be wary of efforts that seek to generate misconceptions within society by presenting regressive ideas under the guise of progress.
