Councillor R. Sreelekha Installs New Nameboard Above MLA V.K. Prasanth’s, Responds to Complaint

Thiruvananthapuram: Sasthamangalam Ward Councillor R. Sreelekha has installed a new nameboard at the Councillor’s office, directly above the existing nameboard of MLA V.K. Prasanth. She subsequently posted pictures of the newly installed nameboard on social media, drawing significant attention.

The councillor also took to Facebook to respond to a complaint filed against her with the Chief Minister by an advocate. The complaint alleges that Sreelekha trespassed into the MLA’s office.

In her detailed Facebook post, Sreelekha recounted her busy schedule leading up to the New Year. She stated, “December 31st was a very busy day. Many people came to see me. I received many loving gifts. I did many things. Amidst the rush, I also made New Year’s dinner. New Year’s Day was even busier. I also participated in the training program for new councillors. In the afternoon, I attended the Residents’ Association New Year’s celebration.”

Continuing her post, she addressed the complaint, “After that, when I returned, I heard the news that some Communist lawyer had filed a complaint against me with the Chief Minister, alleging that I had trespassed into the MLA’s office and opened it. The complaint demands that a case be registered against me and that I be arrested and imprisoned. I also learned that this complaint has been sent to the DGP for further action. This is what you call trying to scare someone with a fake snake.” She dismissed the complaint as a mere attempt to intimidate her.
