Sabarinathan Dismisses ‘Sanghi Parivar’ Label in Sasthamangalam MLA Room Controversy

Congress leader K.S. Sabarinathan has strongly asserted that he will not be intimidated by labels like ‘Sanghi Parivar’ when speaking about facts. His remarks came during a press interaction regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding the MLA’s room in Sasthamangalam.
Sabarinathan stated that the Congress and UDF were elected to voice their stands on issues. He questioned why MLA V.K. Prasanth is not relocating to his designated rooms, 31 and 32, at the MLA hostel. Sabarinathan suggested that it would be advisable for Prasanth to move to the well-equipped office rooms at the MLA hostel and thus resolve the issue. He also queried if Prasanth had any apprehension about moving to the MLA hostel.
Elaborating on the party’s stance, Sabarinathan emphasized that if the Corporation has provided space for 101 councillors to work, that space should rightfully be allocated to them. He clarified that this position applies irrespective of party affiliations, be it BJP, Congress, or CPM. He reiterated that the space meant for councillors should be made available to them, and Prasanth should provide an explanation for not utilizing his office room at the MLA hostel.
Sabarinathan had previously taken to Facebook to address the issue, asking why V.K. Prasanth MLA continues to occupy the room in Sasthamangalam when he has two office rooms available at the MLA hostel. He had suggested in his post that it would be more appropriate for the MLA to move to the hostel while his term in the Legislative Assembly is still active.
