Bhagyalakshmi Files Police Complaint Over Acid Attack Threats and Abuse Related to Dileep Case

Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned actress and dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi has filed a police complaint after receiving a threatening phone call, warning that acid would be thrown on her face if she continues to speak out against actor Dileep. The actress has provided the mobile number of the caller to the police, seeking immediate action.
According to the complaint, the threats and abusive language were hurled at her following her strong public statements in the wake of the verdict in the actress assault case. Bhagyalakshmi stated that the caller explicitly warned, “If you speak against Dileep again, acid will be thrown on your face,” and used highly offensive language.
Bhagyalakshmi informed the media that this is not the first time she has received such threats. She had previously lodged complaints with the police regarding similar incidents, but lamented that no significant action had been taken to address them.
From the outset of the actress assault case, Bhagyalakshmi has maintained a firm and vocal stance. Her criticism intensified following the court’s decision to acquit Dileep. She had publicly reacted to the verdict, stating, “I am not at all surprised by the verdict. I had said four years ago that this verdict was predetermined.”
Furthermore, Bhagyalakshmi had resigned from FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) amid allegations that there were attempts to reinstate Dileep into the organization. Bhagyalakshmi, who has been a prominent figure in FEFKA’s leadership since its inception and is currently an executive committee member, took this step after the leadership reportedly indicated its intention to bring Dileep back into the organization following the court’s decision.
