PK Sreemathi Addresses Cyberattacks, Clarifies Report on PK Sasi Case

Kannur: CPI(M) leader P.K. Sreemathi clarified that the word ‘intensity’ is not present in the report submitted to the party, which was based on an investigation into the sexual harassment allegation by a DYFI woman leader against CPI(M) leader P.K. Sasi.
P.K. Sreemathi Teacher made this statement amid renewed cyberattacks targeting her, following her comments on the Rahul Mankootathil issue. She strongly condemned the attacks through a Facebook post.
Sreemathi Teacher described the attacks against her as heinous. She reiterated that she never used the word ‘intensity’ in her report. She also emphasized that the CPI(M) is a party committed to taking strong action against members who commit mistakes, irrespective of their affiliation.
In her Facebook post, Sreemathi wrote: “The word ‘intensity’ is not in the report. I have never spoken about it or responded to anyone regarding it. If those who are carrying out these vile attacks against me, using sickening images and words, find mental peace and happiness, so be it. The only difficulty for me will be to explain and make my grandchildren, who are the age of those writing these vulgarities, understand. My ears are accustomed to hearing false propaganda against me, even regarding matters I know nothing about. Everyone knows that CPI(M) is a party that takes strong action against party workers who commit mistakes.”
She continued, “No one can point out even a single incident where this was not the case. Many have even forgotten that the person accused at the time received severe punishment based on the report.”
Previously, news had circulated that the commission, which investigated the sexual harassment allegation by a DYFI woman leader against CPI(M) leader P.K. Sasi, had assessed it as “sexual harassment of low intensity” in its report.
The CPI(M) took disciplinary action against P.K. Sasi, who was then the MLA of Shornur, based on the findings of a special inquiry commission. The commission, which included P.K. Sreemathi, had recommended disciplinary action against the MLA, leading to the suspension of six individuals, including district committee members.
