Bullets Recovered from School Students in Alappuzha, Friend Suspected of Theft

Alappuzha: An alarming incident has unfolded in Kareelakulangara, Alappuzha, where bullets were recovered from the bags of students attending the same class at a private school. The discovery has prompted a police investigation, with suspicions pointing towards a friend of the students who may have stolen the ammunition from a relative.

The initial recovery took place on November 30, when school teachers conducting an inspection found two bullets in one student’s bag. These were immediately handed over to the Kareelakulangara police, who launched an investigation into the matter.

Adding another layer to the mystery, while the police investigation was in progress, a second student from the same class voluntarily submitted an additional bullet at the Thrikkunnapuzha police station. The student claimed to have found the bullet on the road. However, police authorities believe that the student was prompted to hand over the bullet out of fear, following the discovery of bullets in their friend’s bag.

Preliminary suspicions held by the police suggest that a mutual friend of the two students might be responsible for the theft. Investigators are currently exploring the possibility that the bullets were stolen from an ex-serviceman relative of this third student.

All three bullets recovered by the police have been submitted to the court and are slated for examination by forensic ballistic experts. A comprehensive and detailed investigation into the incident is currently underway to ascertain the full facts and circumstances surrounding the presence of ammunition in a school environment.
