Vehicles Torched Outside BJP Candidate’s Relative’s House in Chirayinkeezhu

Thiruvananthapuram: Vehicles parked outside the house of a relative of a BJP candidate in Chirayinkeezhu were found completely destroyed by fire. The incident involved an auto-rickshaw, two motorcycles, and a scooter belonging to Babu, a resident of Krishnalayam, Anathalavattom, Chirayinkeezhu.
Attingal Fire Force units promptly responded to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze. However, the vehicles were already fully consumed by the fire by the time they arrived.
Babu, an auto driver, is also an active worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The incident gains further significance as his niece, Tinty, is currently a BJP candidate contesting from the 17th ward. Reports indicate that there was an earlier attempt to set Tinty’s house on fire just a few days prior to this incident.
The Chirayinkeezhu police have registered a case regarding the arson and have launched a comprehensive investigation. Authorities are currently focusing their efforts on analyzing footage from surveillance cameras installed in the vicinity of the houses in the area, hoping to gather crucial evidence and identify those responsible for the crime.
