Youth Congress Woman Leader Files High Command Complaint Against Rahul Mankootathil

Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress State General Secretary Sajana B Sajan has formally lodged a complaint with the Congress High Command and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi concerning the ongoing controversy surrounding Rahul Mankootathil.
Sajana’s complaint explicitly calls for the appointment of an investigation commission, comprising women leaders, to directly engage with the alleged victims and conduct a serious discussion on the matter. She emphasized the need to dispel any public perception that the Congress party maintains double standards regarding women-centric issues.
This move by Sajana B Sajan follows a recent Facebook post where she advocated for Rahul Mankootathil’s expulsion from the party’s primary membership and his complete ostracization. Her complaint to the party leadership comes at a time when former Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President K Sudhakaran has publicly expressed support for Rahul Mankootathil.
The complaint has been addressed to prominent party figures including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and MP Priyanka Gandhi. Sajana has urged for a national-level investigative team, specifically including women leaders, to identify the victimized individuals and thoroughly understand their concerns.
Meanwhile, internal disagreements persist within the Congress party regarding Rahul Mankootathil’s active involvement in the upcoming local body election campaign. While K Sudhakaran has voiced his support, his stance has been countered by other senior leaders such as K Muraleedharan and Ramesh Chennithala. Muraleedharan has explicitly stated that Rahul remains under suspension and, as such, cannot share a platform with other party leaders.
