P.M. Arsho Reacts to Scuffle with BJP Leader: ‘Not Stepping on Cow Dung is a Mature Political Decision’

Former SFI state president P.M. Arsho has responded to the verbal spat and scuffle with BJP Palakkad District President Prashanth Sivan during a television channel discussion. Arsho posted on Facebook, stating, ‘Just as ‘not stepping in cow dung’ is a mature political decision, ‘not stepping on cow dung’ is also a mature political decision in some situations.’

The altercation began during a channel discussion in Palakkad when Prashanth Sivan challenged that he would quit politics if the CPM won ten seats in the Palakkad Municipality. The situation escalated when CPM workers rose to their feet, alleging that Prashanth Sivan used derogatory language, prompting the opposing side to also gather. BJP workers were further provoked when Arsho responded to Prashanth’s challenge by making a remark about the BJP’s standards.

Enraged, Arsho retorted, ‘Hey Prashanth, I haven’t come here to talk during my turn, let me finish talking, and your hooliganism should be kept to the BJP office.’ Prashanth then confronted Arsho, stating, ‘No ‘hey’ or ‘go’ here,’ leading to a clash between the two factions. The tense situation, which persisted for a considerable time, was eventually brought under control by police intervention.

The incident, which saw BJP District President Prashanth Sivan and CPM representative P.M. Arsho engage in an argument that escalated into a physical scuffle, took place during a discussion on the Manorama Channel in Palakkad.
