Congress Leader Expelled in Kollam for Praising Minister Ganesh Kumar Joins Kerala Congress (B)

A Congress leader, who was expelled from the party in Kollam for praising Minister Ganesh Kumar, is now set to join Kerala Congress (B). Thalachira Abdul Azeez, President of Vettikkavala Grama Panchayat in Kollam, will officially accept membership in the Kerala Congress (B) party. He will receive his membership from K.B. Ganesh Kumar, who is the Minister for Transport and the Chairman of the party.

Abdul Azeez had openly praised Minister Ganesh Kumar during a road inauguration event in Thalachira and appealed for votes for him. In his speech, Azeez urged the public to re-elect Ganesh Kumar to the Legislative Assembly. He further stated that Ganesh Kumar is a ‘fruit-bearing tree’ and that people should recognize and reject ‘barren trees’ that seek votes. Following these remarks, the District Congress Committee (DCC) sought an explanation from Azeez for his anti-party activities, which ultimately led to his expulsion from the Congress party.
