Rahul Mankootathil Attends NSS Event in Pathanamthitta, Cancelling 19 Weddings

Pathanamthitta: Rahul Mankootathil, a prominent MLA, served as the chief guest at a family gathering organized by the Mundappally 1300th NSS in Pathanamthitta. This appearance marks Mankootathil’s participation in an NSS event following recent discussions.

The Chairman of the NSS Adoor Taluk Union was also in attendance at the event, which took place on Sunday morning.

Speaking at the gathering, Mankootathil revealed that he had cancelled 19 wedding invitations to ensure his presence. He explained that initially, he had intended to attend casually, similar to how local Karayogam officials invite residents. However, upon reviewing the event notice, he realized he was slated as the chief guest.

Mankootathil further elaborated that he had been in Palakkad for several days and specifically traveled to Pathanamthitta for this event, despite it being a Sunday. He noted that it was the first Sunday of the ‘Thulam’ month, following ‘Kanni’, and reiterated his decision to forgo 19 other commitments to attend. He also expressed his intention to visit the wedding houses later in the evening.
