KPCC Announces Jumbo Committee with 13 Vice Presidents and 59 General Secretaries

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) today officially released its much-anticipated reorganization list, unveiling a jumbo committee that includes 13 Vice Presidents and 59 General Secretaries. This extensive reshuffle also sees the inclusion of six additional members in the crucial Political Affairs Committee.

Prominent figures such as Rajmohan Unnithan, V.K. Sreekandan, Dean Kuriakose, Pandalam Sudhakaran, C.P. Muhammad, and A.K. Mani have been appointed to the Political Affairs Committee, reflecting a broad-based approach to strengthening the party leadership.

Among the significant changes, M. Liju, formerly a General Secretary, has been elevated to the position of KPCC Vice President. Similarly, Palode Ravi, who recently resigned from his role as Thiruvananthapuram District Congress Committee (DCC) President, has also been appointed as a KPCC Vice President. The complete list of Vice Presidents includes T. Sarathchandra Prasad, Hibi Eden, Palode Ravi, V.T. Balram, V.P. Sajindran, Mathew Kuzhalnadan, D. Sugathan, Remya Haridas, M. Liju, A.A. Shukoor, M. Vincent, Roy K. Paulose, and Jaison Joseph.

In a move to bolster the party’s financial management, V.A. Narayanan has been named the Treasurer. The expansive list of 59 General Secretaries features several new faces and notable inclusions, such as Sandeep Warrier, who recently joined the Congress after leaving the BJP, along with Aryadan Shaukat, Jyothikumar Chamakkala, and Anilakkara, among others. The publication of this reorganization list follows a period of intense discussions and uncertainties within the party.

Following the initial announcement of the office-bearers’ list, the KPCC issued a subsequent press release to include former Kottayam DCC President Joshi Philip among the General Secretaries. The clarification, issued in the name of KPCC President Sunny Joseph, stated that Mr. Philip’s name had been inadvertently omitted from the original list due to a clerical error. The appointments of KPCC secretaries are yet to be announced.
