Young Teacher and Husband Die by Suicide in Kasaragod After Leaving Son with Relatives

Kasaragod: A young teacher and her husband were found dead after consuming poison. The incident occurred in Kadambara, under the Manjeshwaram Police Station limits in Kasaragod. The deceased have been identified as Ajith, who worked in painting and polishing, and his wife Shweta (27), a teacher at a private school near Vorkady Bakery Junction.
Severe financial problems are believed to be the primary reason that led them to take their own lives. Ajith, his wife, and his mother, Pramila, lived in the house. His mother had gone to work. On Monday, Shweta and her husband Ajith, who had returned home early, went to Shweta’s sister’s house in Bantiyodu with their three-year-old son. They told her sister they had ‘somewhere to go’ and asked her to look after their son until they returned.
After returning home, the couple consumed poison. In the evening, neighbors found both of them lying unconscious in their yard. They were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Hosangadi, but their lives could not be saved.
