Government Committed to Child Protection, Says Minister Veena George Amidst Abortion Controversy

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George affirmed that the LDF government is committed to protecting children, not destroying them. Her statement came during a session in the Legislative Assembly while responding to questions concerning infant birth and death rates.

The Minister’s remarks have gained significant traction on social media, especially in light of an ongoing investigation against Palakkad MLA Rahul Mankootathil, which is related to allegations of forced abortion.

Adding to the political drama, Rahul Mankootathil was present at the Legislative Assembly yesterday, despite objections raised by opposition leader V.D. Satheesan.

Rahul arrived at the assembly in a specialized vehicle, accompanied by youth leader Nemam Shajeer. Shortly after his arrival, Rahul was handed a note, after which he promptly exited the assembly premises.

When later approached by the media, Rahul Mankootathil chose to avoid addressing questions regarding the allegations leveled against him.
