Padmaja Venugopal Criticizes Congress Leadership, Citing ‘Arrogance of Shafi and Rahul’

BJP leader Padmaja Venugopal has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party’s leadership, asserting that the party is being steered by “the arrogance of Shafi and Rahul,” and that its members show scant regard for V.D. Satheesan. In a recent Facebook post, Venugopal conveyed her “sincere pain and sympathy” for Satheesan’s current predicament, pointedly reminding him of “Karma.”

In her detailed social media statement, Padmaja Venugopal explicitly questioned V.D. Satheesan’s suitability for his leadership role. She argued that if he is incapable of controlling an individual, whom she described as a “pervert” accused of molestation and reportedly operating a “department for abortions,” and if he cannot guarantee the safety and justice of women and girls within the Congress, then he is unfit to hold his position.

Venugopal’s full Facebook post read: “Mr. V.D. Satheesan, I have sincere pain and sympathy for your unfortunate situation. Kerala has witnessed in recent days that Congress members do not give any value to you, and that the arrogance of Shafi and Rahul is leading the Congress. If you cannot control a pervert who is accused of being a molester and having his own department for abortions, then you should not be in that position. If you cannot ensure safety and justice even for women and girls within the Congress, then you are not fit for the leadership position. You must have understood the situation from the attack faced by the party’s most senior leader in your cyber space. Let me remind you one word: ‘Karma’.” This sharp criticism underscores deep-seated issues within the party’s ranks, particularly concerning leadership authority and the protection of its female members.
