Fiancée Dies in Tragic Scooter-Bus Collision in Kollam

Kollam: A young woman, Anjana (24), tragically died after her scooter was involved in a collision with a bus on the national highway. The fatal accident occurred near Ookanmukku School on the Kollam-Theni National Highway, in Shastamkotta, around 10:30 AM.

The accident unfolded when Anjana’s scooter was initially hit by a school bus, causing her to lose control. Subsequently, the scooter collided with another bus. The scooter, which skidded along the road, was partially engulfed in flames. Anjana succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Anjana, a resident of Shardalayam House in Thodiyoor, had recently embarked on a new chapter in her life. She had joined Karinthotta Service Co-operative Bank as a clerk just last Monday, following her appointment. Her engagement had also taken place recently, with her wedding scheduled for October 19. The tragic incident occurred just weeks before her eagerly anticipated marriage.
