Heavy Rains Force Holiday in Four Kerala Districts; Red Alert Issued in Three

Amid continuing heavy rainfall across Kerala, educational institutions in four districts have declared a holiday for tomorrow. The districts where the holiday has been announced are Ernakulam, Thrissur, Idukki, and Kottayam. District Collectors have confirmed that all educational institutions, including professional colleges, will remain closed tomorrow. The holiday also applies to Anganwadis and tuition centers.

Following the heavy rains, a Red Alert was issued today for Idukki, Malappuram, and Wayanad districts. An Orange Alert has been declared for Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Kozhikode districts. The forecast indicates that heavy rainfall is expected to continue for two more days.
