Private Bus Fined ₹2,000 for Littering Water Bottles in Kannur

Kannur: The Kannur Corporation has imposed a fine of ₹2,000 on a private bus for indiscriminately throwing water bottles onto the road. The incident occurred in Kannur city, where bottles were carelessly tossed from the moving bus. The bus, named ‘Kasar Mulla’, operates on the Kannur – Koothuparamba route.

The fine was issued by the Corporation Secretary following a complaint lodged by environmental activist Dr. Griffin, who provided video clips of the incident. Corporation authorities have announced that action against those who carelessly discard plastic waste will be intensified in the coming days.
