Major Cannabis Bust at Thiruvananthapuram Airport: Hybrid Cannabis Worth ₹10 Crore Seized

Thiruvananthapuram: A significant cannabis bust has occurred at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both natives of Malappuram, were arrested on Sunday night with hybrid cannabis valued at ₹10 crore in the illicit market. Reports indicate that both individuals are students.

Customs officials confirmed that the seized cannabis has a market value of ₹10 crore, making it the largest cannabis seizure at Thiruvananthapuram Airport in recent times.

The seizure took place during the inspection of passengers who arrived on a Singapore Scoot Airways flight from Thailand via Bangkok. The cannabis was discovered in the students’ bags.
