No Need to Panic Over Rising COVID-19 Cases in Kerala: Health Minister

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s Health Minister, Veena George, has reassured the public that there is no cause for alarm regarding the increase in COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, 519 cases have been reported.

The Minister stated that testing facilities have been established in all districts, and state-level meetings have been held to review the situation. She advised the public to avoid unnecessary visits to hospitals and urged patients and the elderly to wear masks when in public places. The Health Minister also emphasized the importance of adhering to infection control protocols in hospitals.

Recent reports indicate a rise in COVID-19 cases across India, with Kerala currently having the highest number of active cases. While the symptoms are generally mild, vigilance is advised, especially for individuals with comorbidities.
